Construction industry professional Eric Hymowitz has presided over Houston-based home builder ROC Homes since 2002. Under the leadership of Eric Hymowitz, ROC Homes developed a strong corporate culture of giving back and supporting the community. Sunshine Kids is one of the many charitable organizations that has received funding and support from ROC Homes.

Since 1982, Sunshine Kids has brought hope to children battling cancer. The organization was founded by Rhoda Tomasco as a result of her time volunteering in a pediatric hospital ward. Her desire to improve the quality of life for the patients led to the start of Sunshine Kids.

Through partnerships with more than 80 oncology and children’s hospitals, Sunshine Kids organizes fun events for young patients, such as sports, day trips to amusement parks, and live entertainment. Children and supervising hospital staff members can participate at no cost. In the Houston area, Sunshine Kids works with Texas Children’s Hospital and MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital.
